OCHA NORMA Tashiro Sumire, who was not feeling well last week, is diagnosed with "adjustment disorder" and will require about one month of rest and medical treatment. So her activities with OCHA NORMA will be suspended for the time being.

She will be absent from the following performances and recordings :

- OCHA NORMA 4th Single release events (9/7~9/30) *Mini-lives, Fortune Music events, Internet signing events, Individual talk events

- STARRZ TOKYO MUSIC & FASHION GALAXY event on 9/25

We will seek a doctor's diagnosis and consider when to resume her activities.

H!P really taking seriously the physical and mental health of their performers. This is why they will always be the best. I kind of wish they wouldn't publicly divulge the diagnoses; I could see it being very embarrassing for the girls for the public to know that you have a mental disorder. On the other hand, I guess it can be seen as a public service of a sort. By openly stating the health condition, they're saying that it's nothing to be ashamed of, and maybe other people who are experiencing such issues will feel empowered to come forward and get the treatment they need. Tbh though I have no idea what the general feeling in Japan is toward these issues, whether they are generally stigmatized or not. Maybe somebody else here has some information or experience?

It is a good thing, but I hope they will encourage the girl to seek coaching or psychotherapy advice as well. Resting will only temporary remove the trigger.
