Matsuura Aya's comments

Aya Matsuura Comment
Reactions to the first "Nescafe" commercial
People around me told me that they saw it. My daughter loves the phrase "Yeah, it looks good!" and they often imitate it. The commercial is shown both with and without the phrase, and I used to mock it when it was shown without the phrase. I hope the key phrase "Fuwa Ii ne" will remain in the memories of those who see it.

During a previous commercial shoot, you commented that you wanted to be told, "Mama, you're cute."
I don't think I've ever been told "Your mama is cute," but I was told "You can do it, Matsuura Aya" (laughs). This time, I would like to have her say "Mama, you're cute."

Thoughts on the filming of this commercial
I'm only working on the "Nescafe" commercial now, but I'm still nervous all the time and it's hard to get used to filming. I tried to be as natural as possible, but the director told me to "Be cute! Be cute!" I tried to be as cute as I could. Also, following the previous commercial, the director was quick to give me the OK for this one as well, so I was worried about whether I would be able to handle it....

What is important to you in terms of on/off balance?
I am still trying to find the right balance between work and home life. For example, at home, I am conscious of the balance between being kind to my children and being an ogre, but once I become like an ogre, it is hard to come back, so I drink a "fluffy latte" to take a breather (laughs).

Looks like Nakky has started a channel dedicated to her Studying abroad in New Zealand.

First ep has her leaving Japan and arriving in NZ.

Hopefully it'll continue with more outdoors stuff like this and not just be indoor couch based vlogs.

In that video she details how she initially started her study abroad in Hawaii, because travel to NZ wasn't opened again yet. She says she feels like once she switched over to NZ, she's having a harder time understanding spoken English.
Listen, I love a Kiwi accent, but it's definitely a MUCH different animal than TOEFL English or USA English. XD

Overall, this YT channel is meant to be dedicated to the H!P members that have gone to study English abroad, so in future episodes it shouldn't just be Nakky!

Good to know the channel is about other H!P too.

And I think Kiwi accents are a bit of an, umm, acquired taste. So not surprised by her struggle in that regard.

Hope Chii (Tokunaga) pops up there one of these days.

Lin Lin has resurfaced outside of the Great Firewall on Twitter (her last tweet was June 2021), with lyrics from Souda We're Alive.

"Doryoku Mirai A Beautiful Star"

Maybe she's traveling again.
