There seems to be a video recording today at Nakano Sun Plaza. It's not for DVD or Blu-ray recording though. Possibly just some TV coverage or something using a smaller camera.

Also new on display somewhere in Nakano (near Nakano Station pedestrian bridge), is a card signed by all Hello! Project members showing their support for Nakano city's redevelopment and the restart of events. This might be related to the recording happening today.

I wonder if they cut it because the girls couldn't do it...
or... maybe copyright issues.
Shibutani Subaru covered First Love on a cover album a few years ago and he sang it in concert (I went) but for some reason it ended up being cut out of the DVD despite all other cover songs being left in. @.@ Wonder if there's some weird copyright thing going on there...

...or maybe UF just doesn't want their idols to sing about tobacco-flavored kisses. :giggle:

I doubt it's a singability issue because if there a multiple girls who can sing Seiko, then there's gotta be way more who can sing Utada (no shade to Utada but like, Seiko).

It'd be weird if they released a bunch of songs before copyrights came through though- it's something I would expect in the USA but not in Japan where everything is ~proper~.

Also re: AKB as the opening song, times have definitely changed. AKB has regularly covered H!P but this is the first time I can recall H!P doing the same.

The order of appearance will be decided by lottery in advance, and each performance (each city) will be random. Expect to see the singing order change in Osaka and other cities.
(*The drawing of lottery that decides the singing order on the first day and the second day (at Nakano Sun Plaza) only was decided on YouTube "OMAKE CHANNEL" and will be distributed on Thursday, July 16th).

So many things happened during quarantine and since I can't figure out whats what and where is appropriate to talk about it, I don't know where to talk about solofest. So please just move me to the right place if I need to be moved. (Also I realize this was in April and probably the conversation has passed already so I REALLY don't know where to talk about this)

Anyway, I just saw Kitagawa Rio perform Kokuhaku no Funsui Hiroba and I have to say, Rio has been my favorite 15 gen member from the beginning, but after watching this performance it has been solidified. She has only been in the group for what, a year (?), and she has such a good voice.

Reason: April? Wasn't Solo Fes... a week ago? I feel like I'm missing something. I'll move this to the concerts, etc thread, since Solo Fes was a concert of sorts. Also please feel free to talk about things even if you feel like time has passed. :)

ANGERME Kasahara Momona says there will be a TV news report by "news zero", tomorrow introducing "Hello! Project 2020 Summer COVERS ~The Ballad~"
https://ameblo.jp/angerme-ss-shin/entry ... 43046.html

It will probably also show how Hello! Project is practicing social distancing and implementing safety guidelines at Nakano Sun Plaza, in the midst of infection cases surging.

I assume that explains the filming notice from the other day.

Yesterday, the special feature on "Hello! Project 2020 Summer COVERS ~The Ballad~" by news zero was supposed to air but it was postponed. It will air today instead. No reason was given. Probably the timing wasn't good due to more important news.
