That was a lot of fun. There were so many stand outs to me it'd take forever to list them all so I'll just mention a few

-Funakki's performance of GIRL ZONE was amazing. The song's lyrics suit her. Listen to the way she shouted out the spoken lines. The power!!
-Rika's voice is so underrated I feel like. I remember watching her performance of Be Alive as a kenshuusei and finding myself entranced
-Miyo's voice, both singing and speaking are refreshing. I could never get tired of watching her
-Rio's gotten a lot better! She has a slight vibratto to her singing now. I think as time goes on people's eyes will be naturally drawn to her
-Layla needs to sing more. I adored her rendition of Fuwari Koi Dokei, and for a second I could see her fitting in perfectly with Tsubaki Factory
-Mei chose a Kirari song which I somehow didn't expect but am now realizing they suit her perfectly. More please
-Saori pulling out her phone and taking selfies was probably the highlight of tonight. I lost my shit. Then she proceeded to say she wasn't nervous. What a queen

Honestly everyone was fun to watch and it once again proved the variety and versatility of Hello! Project. I'm all the more excited for ~The Ballad~ now

As I’m away on vacation right now, I wasn’t able to watch the Solo fest. I’d love if they could release it on Blu-ray. I’d be a happy camper. I’m dying to listen to some of these performances.

The way Amped gave the play by play though. It just seemed natural that Ayano would win. XD That’s some American TV level foreshadowing.

aonymph still has the 5 hour Solo Fes. live up archived temporarily, though some of the performances are still partially cut-off like Momohime's performance at the end.

Part 2

Part 3 + MVP result

Solo Fes. MVP Kawamura Ayano practiced really hard. She says she rented a studio everyday, practiced singing and dancing from 6am and even practiced on the day of the recording. She didn't feel she could win, but reading the 11 comments from the members who voted for her made her really happy. She was really worried that her tap dancing wasn't loud enough to hear on the microphone, but staff heard it just fine.

I watched Layla's performance last night; she did well! Too bad the stream was wonky close to the end.
I watched Rika's too; it really impressed me. That song is pretty much perfect for her range.

I thought everyone did well. The girls we already knew could deliver did so, and even the weaker singers showed improvement. It was a lot of fun.
