Rina Sawayama is my new favorite artist. She's Japanese-British, and her music has the late 90s-early 00s pop sound. Comme des garçons is so stuck in my head I dreamed of the song AND the brand last night.

I checked her out. She's cool with a sense of humor.

Poppy is another artist I've recently become obsessed with. She has this cute/creepy robotic image, but like most Western artists these days she writes her own stuff, and she draws a lot of inspiration from J-Pop and K-Pop.

I think her most recent album ("I Disagree") really took a lot of people by surprise and got four star reviews from a number of outlets. Her break from Titanic Sinclair, who basically crafted her entire shtick, should've been a career-ender, but she showed people she was much more than the "I'm Poppy" gimmick.

It's really good! Their other songs are good, too. And their MVs are super neat. Their newest track, Halzion, has over 1.5 million views in just 4 days.

Official HIGE DANdism will be uploading their BEST ARCHIVE -one-man Tour 18/19 NHK Hall- concert to YouTube at 8AM EDT on the 17th. Already got it in my watch list.

Lastly, I'm loving BVNDIT's recent comeback. Kinda refreshing to have 3/5 girls with deeper voices.

The first girl's voice is so deep! I'm kinda really weak for girls with deeper voices, so excuse me while I keep a lookout for this group from now on. I promised myself to follow more girl groups this year anyway. Cherry Bullet and Dreamnote have been on my radar for example
