Morning Musume. '20 Oda Sakura will celebrate her 21st birthday on March 12th, with a birthday event on March 24th titled "Sakura no Shirabe 9" for the first time in a venue called "Mielparque Hall" in Tokyo. It has a capacity of 1,582 seats.

Almost every Oda Sakura ~Sakura no Shirabe~ birthday event, the venue gets bigger. Her very first birthday event started out at the Pacific Heaven cafe.

After feeling pain in her foot Dambara Ruru was diagnosed at the hospital with a sesamoid bone fatigue fracture in her right toe. She was told she needed to rest for about a month, so she will focus on just singing at the Hello! Project 2020 Winter & Juice=Juice NEW SENSATION concerts. After that her condition will be reconsidered upon consulting with a doctor.

It's a pretty big venue start to off with. H!P members usually get their first birthday event at TOKYO FM Hall before upgrading.

To have a birthday event in the same venue that her admired senior Kaga Kaede had, is bold.

The bit at the beginning is about how Tamagotchi was the biggest fad of 1997, when MM was formed. It’s supposed to give the viewer some idea of how long ago that was.

Anyhow, it’s a looong segment and very positive. We seem to be finally moving past the “they’re popular because of a gimmick (e.g., EDM, formation dance)” phase of media coverage and into the “they’re popular because they’re talented and cool, unlike typical idols” phase.

Inaba Manaka was diagnosed with gastroenteritis at the hospital after complaining about feeling ill. She'll be absent from the Juice=Juice LIVE TOUR 2020 ~NEW SENSATION~ concert at Yokohama BAY HALL today.
