It's time for another Flashback Friday!

(i'm posting this now before i forget about it, because i'm going to be busy the rest of today and tomorrow.)

(yeah, i know i could call it a Throwback Thursday, but i've always called it Flashback Friday in the past so i'm sticking with that.)

Anyhow, with the 15th Gen coming soon, I remembered this particular tradition…

I understand why the solo generations (Koharu, Aika, Sakura, Chisaki) didn't perform this song. It's specifically written for a group — it begins with a game of Jankenpon, and then it features lyrics that describe different characters and perspectives. But did the 13th Gen ever perform it? It seems like they should have, if only to continue the tradition, and they certainly could have, if Junjun and Linlin already had.

On second thought, nah. I can't imagine Kaede performing it, even with smiley Yokoyan. Which is all the more reason for the 15th Gen to bring it back with a vengeance.

Just remember whose song it really is.

My favorite group song. while the graduation of Makoto and Konno was emotional, Takahashi’s graduation still gives me the feels because it was the first time they brought back graduated members for a graduation and THEN they sang their signature song. I wish Makoto and Konno had sung but just the fact that they were there was emotional enough.
