The long hinted at W reunion is finally happening. Dreams do come true.

Considering that the golden era was the peak of Morning Musime’s popularity in Japan and that Kago’s scandal and Tsuji’s motherhood journey is probably more well known than Riho was at her peak, the W reunion is much more of an important event. Yes, more recent fans who don’t know much about the golden era because they weren’t there may shrug, but don’t pretend that your disinterest isn’t a little bias. It’s perfectly fine to care more about Riho’s return, but just because you personally don’t care about W doesn’t mean it’s somehow less of an important event as a whole.

That said I’m super excited to see Riho too. Both news is awesome news. We can all be happy for both.

I agree that it's happy news and happy for everyone involved and yes, I'm a little biased, but even with that I think ever since Kago's participation in Summer HelloCon was announced the possibility/probability/expectation of a W reunion increased.

Conversely, the expectation of a Riho return had decreased, especially with the recent announcement that her contract was completed/fulfilled.

Plus, yes, for the general Japanese person W would get way more recognition than Riho but at the same time who's actually paying attention to H!P besides current fans (of varying degrees)?

The UF* announcement is new and exciting for fans, the general population likely won't know/don't care. It's once the HinaFest happens and there's media clips of the W reunion on air that the general population will be aware and think "cool".

I expect that the number of old fans who buy HinaFest tickets just for W (or Riho for that matter) are very low. But it may entice casual fans who pay attention to the big stuff.
