Inaba Manaka has had some sore throat issues for awhile. She was examined and was diagnosed with having vocal cord nodules, consulted a doctor and she went ahead with surgery a few days ago. She is currently in post surgery care and taking care of her throat. She will be absent for both parts of the Countdown concert. For the H!P Winter 2019 concerts, she will be limited to only participate in dancing and not be able to sing for now. They will consult with the doctor again and her progress on when she can start singing again.

Manaka says she had some throat issues for sometime just before events and lives. In recent months, she has been taking medicine and drips. At handshake events, sometimes her voice couldn't come out normally. Sometimes she had to alter her singing voice a little. She had some consultation with staff and doctors advised her to get it cured as soon as possible. She underwent surgery. Manaka apologizes for the inconvenience at the end the year and start of the new year. She wants to recover and start singing again.
