I literally voted only for JPLOP people. So if you want to vote I’d say do it since it takes like two minutes to do tops and you can leave questions blank.

Although I see these every year and have no idea what it’s for other than an international fandom acknowledgement of one another. Pats on the back all around everyone !

Since Yokoyama loves Spring rolls and Kaga loves Gundam, as a gift they got "Spring Rolls & Sesame Dumplings" and a "Gundam-yaki" Taiyaki.

That's a Zaku II, not a Gundam. I mean yeah, it's from the Gundam universe, but it's not one of the actual Gundam suits.

Now of course, with the way my mind works, I can't help wondering…

- Did the manager know the difference when they gave it to Kaga? Or did they just think "Hey, that's Gundam, she'll like that"?

…and…

- Did Kaga know the difference when she received it? Does she know about old-school Universal Century (UC) at all? That can't be assumed, because most of the UC stuff came out before she was born, and the models she built and posted pictures of are from the relatively recent, non-UC series "Iron-Blooded Orphans".

Gundam in general and Gunpla (Gundam plastic models) in particular is not only an unusual hobby for a top female idol to have, it's also a hobby that I personally enjoy, so this makes Kaga much more intriguing to me. I really want to know more.

^ Useful information, but I'm not sure it answers my question because "Unicorn" isn't UC in the traditional sense — it's more a reboot of the UC, like other franchise reboots. And the Zaku III in "Unicorn" doesn't look much like the Zaku II on that taiyaki.

Unicorn did try to cram in almost every possible MS it could from previous series (down to the downright obscure) even if it was just a few seconds on screen.

We'll see what 2019 has in store for her. She's expressed a desire to build more kits.
