Man, after reading Aika's blog post I think I can better express why I've always liked her-

She is (almost?) always portrayed by others and comes across in her actions as someone who is very earnest.

Apparently she's been going to cooking school and is going to be working under a worker's visa in New Zealand for a while.

I'm sorry that I missed the Houston AikaCon, but I'm glad that I got to meet her at AX in 2009. I was staying on the same floor of the same hotel as the girls, and when I ran into them at the elevator on the last night, Aika was the first one to say hi — while I was still standing there dumbfounded.

Now, everyone to go to her restaurant in the future. It sounds like she want to eventually open a small restaurant in Kyoto. Best wishes for her!

I'm honestly surprised she didn't do this sooner, but I'm still a little bummed about it. I always really liked her. It's nice she found something to be passionate about, and I hope she finds a lot of success in her future endeavors.

I am glad that I got to meet her at AX 2009 too, she was so sweet. I remember her peaking out behind the screen at the panel (when they were told to go behind it), and I waved at her, and she waved back. I wish her well on her cooking!

Houston really was Aikacon lmao. I'll never forget her dancing to her own song when iceymoon and her hubby put it on during Hello!Party and then everyone changed their lightsticks to light purple.

I even got a selfie with her! She was so nice. I wonder how embarrassed by all that she was.
