The sound gets worked with during the editing of the DVDs... how's that weird?
If they'd leave the microphones on their original levels through all DVDs, they'd be horrible to look at/listen to.

What's weird for me is that she's singing differently. Like in the mic rip she's screaming compared to the DVD where she's singing the line instead.

Is it just me though that can hear it?

Sounds pretty much exactly the same, you're just hearing it from too different spots - making it sound different to your ears.

When you sing and have a note like that you push from your diaphragm. Which gets loud, really really loud. Loud singers have really good diaphragm control and if you listen to just like a mic hack, its gonna sound like they are SCREAMING AT YOU. Because they are. Meimi was in tune but loud and screechy - which can happen if you sing a note a bit out of your range, it happens to all singers really.

You can really hear it in "Put me FIRST"" "Baby it YOU" by the end, when she is getting progressively higher she gets more and more shouty. And this is BEYONCE.

The audience doesn't really hear that, because we aren't sitting right on top of the microphone and the singers voice is balanced out by the backing track. When you're listening from a point where it's not directly on the microphone the sound is going to level out.

This is why your voice sounds different to you than other people, sound travels. from your mouth to your ears is an easy reach so you hear things differently than everyone else around you. Try putting two peices of thick paper in front of your ears (Not covering them, just in front of), and talk. You're voice will sound different because the sound waves have to travel AROUNd the paper.

This is the same.

I think the harmony was good

I think Haruna should be given more chances to shine, she's not horrible at all. Sometimes I prefer her singing more than say, Riho? Even Kudo did pretty well.

There's no way Haruna (and Kudou and even Ayumi) would sound even half as good as they did there, if they'd do a MM song where they dance.
