It all depends on how the H!PS title is treated.

I'll put it like this, in this theoretical H!P world the H!PS title is the most prestigious and honored award that can be given. So if the title itself is treated poorly someone who has given their all but has not yet earned it may think that they themselves would be more appreciative. Also if the winner doesn't act accordingly and befitting of a champion, a past champion may have to intervene.

well, we all know how much Zukki hates Karin, right?

and also, all the KSS hate Karin because she debuted before them and is so much more loved and is more successful than them.

Wouldn't be surprising if Kobushi & Tsubaki teamed up together to destroy Karin

People who don't have a shot: Eripon because she's a past winner. Yes, I know Sayumi has won 3 times but she's a legend. Momoko generally gets kicked off early. Non Airi members of ℃-ute. (think about it Maimi usually does the best of them and that usually takes a miracle and she only gets right before the Finals)

Karin I think may be interesting this year. Because of her Momusu exploits she seems to have become a bit polarizing and sometimes that can help them. Since their fans go to further lengths for their girl.

Reminds me of the year people kept saying "trollkahashi" and all of a sudden she won H!PS.
