Unfortunately, H!P has very little concept on what would be age appropriate. This is the same company that had ZYX and Shin Mini Moni cover gatamekira.

My reaction to this was the same. When 9th gen auditions began the youngest member of Morning Musume was Aika at what 18 or 19? And the oldest 9th gen member was Fukuchan at 14 and both Riho and Kanon were 12... So its pretty clear Management doesn't give a crap about having the members be around the same age so that they can perform the older songs. They usually choose very young girls so that the girls have room to grow within the group. Girls like Haruna joining at 16 are pretty much exceptions. Plus we may change musical direction again once the 13th gen joins. MM loves to switch it up every few singles.

I believe Aika was 16 or 17, the same age as Honey. Fukuhime was 14/15 and Eripon was 13/14. From Goto on they have had young girls, so it's not really that much of a change or surprise.

Then again H!P could go the opposite route and add Ayano Kawamura who is 17. She's gotta debut soon or she will fall into shadow H!P or into the obscurity of the rest of the idol world. She must have been taken on for a reason.

We really have no clue what will happen. What if they take both? a 12 year old and a 17 year old. How fun would that be?

The reason I don't want anyone born before 2000 is because they already have a decent bunch of older members, a lot of them born on 1999, but just 2 from the new millennia. IMO Maria and Akane seems a bit out of place than Haachin and Miki. Would bs nice to see those two be close to 13th gen if she/they are around their age.

10th Gen - Kudo, 11. Masaki, 12.
11th Gen - Sakura, 13
12th Gen - Akane, 12.

Couldn't find info on earlier but I BELIEVE Maki was 13, and obviously Asuka of 1st gen was 12. 2nd gen had no one under 15.

So I repeat: lol if you think they aren't going to pick a 12 year old.

yeah I'm not too keen on Momohime either.
she'd be better in a different group. she's way too baby faced and small for the group's current image.
I don't wanna see management push a sexy image on her at all.
