Interestingly, her Instagram profile also refers to herself as an ippanjin/civilian. This definitely feels marketedly different than Maimai who is an ippanjin but trying to push her lifestyle/clothing/fashion/whatever the hell With Mii and it's various offshoots are.

I think it's appropriate to say that Maimai has retired from "geinou katsudo"/celebrity activities because as far as I have seen she hasn't really posted anything related to any ~typical post-idol~ activities (at least from her Instagram).

I think in a (her) perfect world, she'd be living the Takahashi Ai life as a fashion/lifestyle influencer and occasional fashion designer.

Maimai also definitely doesn't shy away from acknowledging her C-ute past but they tend to be focused on important C-ute days like 9/10 or Airi's Budokan concert.
