Michishige Sayumi - 'OK! Ikimakucchae' Music Video

The song is fun and definitely will be on my playlist for a little while. The problem for me though is there is such a mismatch between her singing voice and her looks. She’s a stunning woman...who sounds like a chibi anime character. It’s just weird. I feel like she’s limiting her audience. Either play up the kawaii element and have a cartoonish MV, or emphasize her remarkable beauty, and have her sing with a more womanly tone. Or she’ll be stuck with the relatively small number of fans who wax nostalgic for her usa-chan peace days. And that would be sad. To me Sayu is infinitely superior in every respect to her erstwhile role model Yuko Ogura, so I’d hate for her to think that that sort of fan base is all she can aspire to.

^^ TBH I was a bit worried with Omori Seiko on board to write the lyrics (Zettai Kanojo isn't exactly my favorite), and didn't know what to expect with K2-Dee, but I guess we'll see what happens with Shiroi hane.

Although to be fair, it could be I was just so enthralled with how Loneliness Tokyo went down that I was expecting something in that vein.

I like the song well enough, but I agree w/ Zunu that it and the video don't match each other at all. The MV looks more the behind-the-scenes of a photoshoot.
