^ I wouldn't take that as confirmation, since the reporter seems to be doing the same thing that everyone else is doing. It can't be confirmed until she is officially introduced. But it certainly adds to the excitement.

I'd say give it another day. There have been too many times when one outlet reports speculation as news, simply to be the first to report it, and then all the other outlets rush to repeat the first report, even though none of them have actually confirmed any of it. And that sort of behavior is not limited to entertainment news in Japan, if you know what I mean.

But yes, the probability of this being confirmed seems to be increasing. Cautious optimism. Again…

Sayashi and Nakamoto were classmates and maybe even friends at ASH.

For all we know, they might have been close friends who kept in touch all these years and then finally decided to get back together. It's storylines like that that get people excited.
