Tsubaki Factory Kasai Yuumi's 19th Birthday (7/30) @ LANDMARK HALL 8.2.22

- Surprise VTR Birthday message from Suzuki Airi : When she was watching videos during stay at home times, she happened to come across Airi's video and got hooked on Hello! from there. Airi was the person who inspired Yuumi to join Hello. When Airi appeared on the screen, she exclaimed, "What?" and stared at the screen with her back to the audience. Yuumi started crying as Airi praised her singing voice and said that she had seen the video of Airi singing "Hitori de Ikiraresou" tte Sore tte Nee, Homete Iru no? and thought "An extraordinary talent has come to Hello". After Airi's video was over, Yuumi said "I don't usually cry. But I was nervous and happy that Suzuki-san was in the video..." She thanked Airi.

Is that good or bad?

I could have done without them but in balance I'd say that the random ganbaruno was way less annoying than, say, those screaming goats in Thor: Love and Thunder. I mean they didn't completely ruin the experience of the video or anything . Plus she and Yumeno did a great singing attempt at Kanashiki Heaven. Also, Marine anything = great.


EDIT: Seems you deleted your (unexpectedly touching) response but to clarify I don't hate her by any means! It's mild annoyance at worst really. We've talked before I think about how our overexposure to their various slogans and gimmicks can make them seem more played out to us than to the general public. They may have just a moment or two to make an impression on a casual audience, so whether it's gambaruno, or octopuses, or pandas, or just announcing how cute they are with every other breath (Nanamin), if that's what it takes then my hat's off to them.
