Tsubaki Factory Akiyama Mao tested positive for corona.

Thank you for your support of the Hello! Project. We would like to inform you that Akiyama Mao of Tsubaki Factory has been confirmed to be infected with coronavirus.

A member of her family was confirmed to have been infected with coronavirus in Osaka, and Akiyama herself was confirmed to be positive after a PCR test at the hospital. As a result, Akiyama will not be able to attend the "Hello! Project 2022 Winter ~LOVE & PEACE~" at Nakano Sun Plaza on January 8th and 9th.

Her condition is now stable, but she will concentrate on her treatment under the direction of the public health center and medical institutions.

And the only reason why she's out is because their protocols require it; someone in her family tested positive, so she in turn got tested. That's it. Look closely at how the announcement is phrased.

Too many people are still acting like this is the Delta variant, or even the original virus. It's not. It's really not.
