^ Upon careful reflection, I will concede a certain, shall we say, innate skepticism of "press release" versions of celebrity events. Not to say that they are necessarily untrue, who knows? But I consider it naive to take them at face value because I think, for publicists and by extension those under their guidance, the unvarnished truth is secondary to making sure that the official narrative remains manageable.

I guess I don't categorize kidding on a web forum as making up one's own truth. E.g I wouldn't at this point seriously defend the notion of reina getting eye surgery because it's just a joke, or at most purely groundless speculation. If somebody is taking that shit seriously cough*re*op2*cough I feel kinda sorry for them.
