Well, I mean grouping up is a great idea, because then in the concert itself it is slightly easier to get a good area, no? (and also more fun) :P
I think as the date approaches i'll decide whether or not i want to group up or not. :P

As for the concert itself, how early do you think you should go in order to get a good spot? an hour and a half?

I would think so. I hope so. They had "MORNING MUSUME。IN USA" t-shirts for sale when they were at Anime Expo, so I expect that there will be tour t-shirts. Based on what has been available at H!P/Up-Front events in the U.S. in the past, there will probably be CDs, photos, and maybe towels, too.

There goes all my money. XD

Like I said I will be there at like 8 am. I'm not going to miss this. (I have ADD and I'm always late to things so I have to be super early in order to compensate.)

SRO general admission is going to be interesting. Whenever I've seen Morning Musume。before, there's always been assigned seating, even though hardly anyone actually sits in the seats once the show starts. At a general admission show, getting there early will give you a better shot at being close to the stage, true, but that won't prevent latecomers from shoving their way in front of you as showtime draws near, or during the course of the show. I remember one Shonen Knife gig where all of us at the edge of the stage valiantly defended it from the incursion of one asshole who kept trying to slam his way into the front row.

I don't know about 8 am. XD That seems a BIT early... :P Is the place an inclined plane type of place, or is it a flat floor?
as in, will the back be higher up than the front so they can see better?

I'm not a morning person, but tend to wake up early. O.o My alarm is at 7am, but I naturally wake up at 6am. I'm usually not in the mood to get up until 9am. XD

I would wake up early just for Musume. I learn my lesson with LoVendoR.

I'm thinking 8AM might be late. :b Of course depends on how much you wanna be first in line and all of that.
There will (most likely) be Japanese fans there as well, they will probably start lining up rather early as well.

Well if you have a ticket you'll obviously get in, but if it's free "seating" or a first come first serve kind of thing with getting good spots?
You'll be far in the back. Easily. Especially since they probably will start letting people in an hour before the show, and people will have lined up for quiiiiite a while before that.
Just go early and hang out with fans. It's not that bad if you're among great people. ^^
