Yoshikawa Mayu will be graduating after the upcoming "Up Up Girls (2) Spring Tour".

We have been discussing about her graduation for a long time and we respected her feelings as she was thinking about her next future.
She also wanted to tell her fans about it from her own mouth, so she made the announcement during the live.
We will announce the exact time of graduation as soon as it is decided.
We are also planning to release the last single with 8 members.

I'm Yoshikawa Mayu from Up Up Girls (2).
I have announced my graduation from Up Up Girls (2) during the live held today.
At the age of 18, I made up my mind to move from Akita to Tokyo and have been working as hard as I could as an Up Up Girls (2) member.
I was given a vocation as an idol and met my favorite friends and the fans who support my favorite group.
It's been five years since I moved to Tokyo from my beloved hometown Akita, and I've started to feel a little uncomfortable inside.
But it was a strange feeling, in a good way, and I began to feel that my image of idols, which I had had since I was 13, and my real self were slowly drifting apart from each other through the many experiences and the many stimuli I received there.
In order to move forward in my life as Yoshikawa Mayu and not as Yoshikawa Mayu of Up Up Girls (2), I have asked myself many questions and made the decision to graduate this time.

I would like to make an announcement about my post-graduation activities when I'm ready, so please wait for me.

I will continue to devote myself to making sure that my departure on a new path will be a good one for Up Up Girls (2) and myself.

(Haruka and Chiiko) I was looking forward to this one because Chiiko is such a weird, dainty character, but it seems she's less charming in a duo. Things were a bit cringey because they weren't that friendly toward each other. Haruka was game but Chihiro barely looked in her direction most of the time, although she eventually warmed up a bit.
